The short version: no ads, no analytics SDK, no tracking pixels, and nothing sold to anyone. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the join form. The Discord and Whop have their own privacy policies for what they collect once you join through them. Here are the details.
Just browsing the site.
If you never touch the join form, we receive nothing about you. There are no accounts, no login, no comment sections, and no way for us to identify a visitor by name.
Our hosting provider logs standard request metadata such as your IP address, user agent, and the URL you requested. That is ordinary web server logging, used to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not link those logs to a personal identity.
If you use the join form.
Submitting the form sends the following to a private Google Sheet we own, and a notification to the community owner:
- Your email address, so we can reach you about the community.
- Your three answers about what you're building, what you want, and where you heard about us.
- Your country, worked out on your own device from the timezone your system is already set to. We do not use your IP address for this, we do not send it to any location service, and we never ask your browser for your actual location. It tells us roughly where members are, nothing more precise than a country.
- How you got here: the site that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you clicked.
The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and understanding the community. We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you across other sites. Ask us and we will delete it, see section 06.
Cookies and storage.
No tracking cookies, no analytics SDK, no advertising network, no Facebook pixel. Nothing here follows you to other websites.
The site stores two small values in your browser's session storage: the site that referred you and any campaign tags from your link. They exist so that information survives moving between pages, they are readable only by this site, and your browser discards them when you close the tab. The smooth-scroll library and font assets may also set technical, non-tracking preferences.
What happens when you click Join.
The Join button takes you to one of two third parties:
- Discord. You accept an invite to the LVN Discord server. Discord receives whatever data their service requires (account info, IP, message history, etc.). Their terms and privacy policy apply.
- Whop. You join the LVN product through Whop's hub. Whop receives whatever data their service requires. Their terms and privacy policy apply.
LVN's Community does not receive a copy of any data you give to Discord or Whop outside of what is visible in the Discord server itself (username, messages, server activity).
What we do with data inside the Discord.
Moderators can see standard Discord moderator data (messages, server actions, member list). We do not sell, share, or export this data outside of the moderation tools provided by Discord.
We do not use the contents of your messages to train AI models or for any commercial purpose outside of running the community.
Your rights.
Message the moderators inside the Discord and we will delete your join-form record (email, answers, country, referral source) from our Sheet. Tell us the email address you signed up with so we can find the row. You can also ask for a copy of it.
To remove your presence in the Discord itself, leave the server. To delete your Discord or Whop account, or request a data export from them, contact those services directly.
Children.
LVN's Community is not intended for users below the age required by Discord and Whop in their country. If you believe a child has joined the community in violation of this, report it to moderators and we will remove them.
Changes.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted in the announcements channel of the Discord.
